Q. What is so unique about Jumpscan?

A. Glad you asked. Rather than creating multiple QR codes to go to different sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, website, etc.) Jumpscan allows you to have all your digital contact info in one place for easy mobile sharing.

Q: How do I sign up for Jumpscan?

A: Sign up directly from the home page in the box in the lower left hand corner. Simply enter your email address, a user name (alphanumeric, no spaces or punctuation marks) Lastly, enter a password, then click "Register" to go to the next screen. Follow each step from there.

Q. How much does it cost to join Jumpscan?

A. There is no fee for Jumpscan. Our goal is to provide an easy way for millions of users to connect.

Q. Can I add other social media feeds, like LinkedIn and YouTube?

A. We are currently reviewing suggestions and adding more features and feeds based on user requests and feasibility. Keep checking back as we announce new updates and enhancements. Also be sure to follow us on Twitter for announcements.

Q: Can I have one account that has multiple codes?

A: Currently you would have to sign-up for an additional account. You cannot manage more than one code from one account.

Q: How do I share my code?

A: The easiest way is to display your Jumpscan QR code on your phone. Simply click on "View Code" from your profile page and hold it up to be scanned by any QR reader.
Save the image and use it on the back of your business cards or on a key chain. Note that anyone with a QR reader will be able to scan your code to access your information so display only what you are comfortable sharing (much as you would on a business card.)

Q. How can I access my Jumpscan profile page quickly?

A. You can save your unique JS page as a shortcut or bookmark on your iPhone or Android phone for quick access.

Q. I'm having issues with the service. Who can I contact?

A. First, double check to make sure all the info you entered is correct. Read the FAQs, our blog, and Twitter updates for additional help. If you are still having issues, fill out our contact form with the details. Due to the large volume of emails, we may not respond to each request but we do review them to address/fix/correct any bugs we find in the system. Your feedback and patience are greatly appreciated.

Q. Where can I find more info on Jumpscan?

A. Try searching #jumpscan on Twitter to catch all the buzz or check our Facebook page.

Q. How do I upload my pic/avatar?

A. Your avatar is automatically uploaded from your Facebook page. If you don't have a Facebook account or don't allow your Facebook feed to display, you will see a placeholder image.

Q. My phone number displays only in one standard format and doesn't allow for international numbers, what can be done about that?

A. We are currently working on this. Thanks for your patience.

Q. Can I change my username?

A. You cannot change your username once set.

Q. Who can view my JumpScan profile page?

A. Currently, during beta, the site it open and anyone who scans your QR code can view your profile. The search engines can also search and list your page. So treat JumpScan like you would your business card, and share only what you would want to be viewed publicly. This works ideally for those individuals and businesses wanting to connect with new people, friends, customers, etc. This includes those in real estate, sales, self employed, sole proprietors, speakers, coaches, trainers, consultants, designers, etc., the types of businesses that benefit from added visibility, connectivity and web exposure. If you want to guard your information, we suggest you wait for until we add privacy settings in the near future.
